Here is an opportunity to see and experience Hawkes Bay through the eyes of a local (character & gentleman).
All of our tours are personalised to you. Our standard tour is as below, but we vary this according to your specific needs and how long you want to stay in each location.
Tour Includes:
-
Initially we take a quick look around Napier City and explain its history - i.e. how it became known as the Art Deco Capital of the World.
-
We then drive down the beautiful Marine Parade and show you some of it famous sights. We also take this time to tell you about the history and culture of Hawkes Bay.
-
We then go out through the picturesque Tuki Tuki Valley where we stop for a photo opportunity - truly an amazing picture you will want to share with friends and family.
-
After this, we take you up to the very top of Te Mata Peak, where you get a 360 degree view of the whole region. On a clear day, you can see right across to the three snow-capped mountains in the center of the North Island.
-
Now you get to taste all the varieties (up to 9) of honey that Arataki Honey produce at their beautiful vistor's center. Arataki Honey is the home of Manuka Honey: unique for its medicinal qualities.
-
From here we stop at the Silky Oak Chocolate Factory for a taste of their increadible chocolate.
-
We then head on to Mission Estate Winery (the oldest winery in New Zealand) where you can have a wine tasting.
-
With your taste buds satisfied and your eyes full of the amazing sights of Hawkes Bay we then take you back to where we picked you up - all while entertaining you with stories about Hawkes Bay and its surrounds.
This is a tour not to be missed! Fun, entertaining and luxurious - all for no more than you would pay for the equivalent tour elsewhere.
Of course, if you have more time, then consider taking a full day out with us - where you get to experience sights and tastes that even many of the locals don't know about. We can even take you up to Taupo and show you around this amazing region or take you out to Ball's Clearing - where you get to experience a walk through a true native New Zealand forrest (unlike anything you have ever seen before).
Having growing up on a farm in Hawkes Bay with a father who is a history buff and who speaks fluent Maori, we have a unique take and insight into this region and its culture.
